It's tiny! When the package arrived, I thought it was far too small. I'd had another model that was already small and that one was about 50% larger. However, if I place the heater near where I'm working, it puts out a gentle stream of warmth that feels so good!

For RV - Exactly what I was looking for!

We were looking for a small heater for our RV to take the chill off without having to run our furnace. This is a perfect little heater for us! It is small. Doesn't have a metal grate or any exterior metal parts that get hot. It is quiet! The heating elements never get hot enough to glow red. The "smart" thermostat controls the level of heat produced by the element and the speed of the fan. This little guy can put out up to 5,120 BTU at 1,500 watts. It has tip-over protection and a double level of overheat protection. We have a little RV dog and these features make it a very safe heater to have in our RV and we felt good about it being made in Canada! We can't yet comment on durability at this time.

THIS IS COMPATIBLE WITH TOYOSTOVE RC-41 Equivalent PN 20450013

21st Century lists wick style number 113 as compatible with my Toyostove RC-41 but the 113 style is completely different; pictured (at the time of this review) for BOTH 113 and 158 is a wick with three locating pins, wick PN 20450013 has three locator pins and 158 resembles what is shown. The style 113 does not have pins despite what is pictured and is a completely different size / shape / design and INCOMPATIBLE with Toyostove RC-41!!I have 158 now after returning 113 and it is installed and working exactly as it should with no issues!

My most comfortable winter ever.

I love my Thermoflo Smart Heat Heater. Once it has gotten the room to a comfortable temperature it is very quiet. Even when it is just starting to heat up a cold room it is quieter than most other heaters with a fan. I live in a one bedroom apt. and when it is really cold I just point it more in the direction of the room that I am in at the time. It was only designed to do one room but I did just fine with one heater and 2+ rooms all winter. And yes it is nice even warmth, no cold spots.I also like that it is small and lightweight enough to take with me wherever I go.

Works well - produces good heat

Seabreeze SOH7000TA works similar to Vornado heaters. Both of these are "no glow" fan based heaters which heats up the room by circulating the air. Both Seabreeze and Vornado heaters are high priced heaters compared to Holmes, Honeywell, Lasko brands etc. It is not made in China like other heaters. I believe this is made in Canada and Vornados are made in USA. So you pay higher price compared to other brands.Pros: It raises the temperature of a room in just 30 to 45 minutes compared to the brand I mentioned above. It is ideal for use wherever zone-heating is required. It is whisper quiet. Instead of an Oscillating feature, it has a sweeping feature, which sweeps warm air across the room. The heating element does not glow so it is safe around kids and pets. Includes many safety features; and it automatically reduces heat output as the room's comfort level is reached; and finally, it does not dry up the air like ceramic heaters. Some compare this to ceramic heaters expecting a instant radiant/fire place type output.Cons: Controls are not digital; does not have a three-prong plug but it has a polarized plug.

This Is A Great Little Heater

This heater was bought to replace an old Vornado, and we have been using it for just one day. However, it is doing such a terrific job, that I feel confident in writing this review even after so little time. We are using the ThermaFlo in our living room, and as a bonus it is also heating the adjacent dining room. I should mention that our house is a small rowhouse that was built in the 1840s, so we are talking about probably 300 square feet, but as an old house, it is very drafty, and the heater is keeping those rooms at a steady 71 degrees. (We did as suggested by the company, and lowered the thermostat on our central heating.) The ThermaFlo is extremely quiet, and the heat is absolutely even in all part of the rooms. We could not be happier with this purchase.

My central heat went out and I ordered this unit to get by temporarily. With ceiling fans circulating the air this unit heats my entire house! Who needs central heat? I strongly recommend this product.

will never go back to the standard plug in Heaters

Seeing how I had an open 250 wall socket from a old a/c that went bad....i decided to buy this Heater for the back rooms of my old double wide for the upcoming winter.The last few years I have been using just them standard plug in electric heaters, you know, the $30 dollar ones you see in the stores as winter approaches.This Heats up great! It's not to loud...way better than any standard 115 volt plug in wall unit. The BTU's on this is almost TRIPLE to any standard heater. This has 13,000 BTU, a standard 115 plug in heater max is 5100 BTU.For less than $100 it's a great investment!If you have a 250 20 amp socket, get this! If not, them plug in ones ain't too bad (Radiator kinds).

Very good heater

Bought 2 of these to supplement our pellet stove in our living room.We have trouble getting the living room temp up because it is large (15 x 30) with lots of windows (double pane). Also, it is an addition and of the 90 feet of walls, 75 feet are outside walls. The insulation is there, but nothing fancy. Fiberglass between 2x4 studs.After working all day we do not have a lot of time to relax in the living room. The pellet stove is great for the weekends, but during the week it takes too long heat up the living room. By the time it gets warm, it's time to sleep.Today the packages were waiting on the doorstep, opened them up and plugged them in. Faint "new heater" smell, not bad. 18 degrees F outside, had to turn the heaters down after about an hour to keep from roasting. I think that qualifies as a success.Some notes:They do not have "tip over" protection that will automatically shut them off if tipped.They do have a small "flip-up" handle on back, to lift them.They are lighter in color than the picture, without the sticker on front.They have an orange light that is on whenever they have power. It only goes out if the unit is unplugged. So there is no easy way to see if they are switched "off" from a distance.They have two controls: a rotary thermostat and a 3-way rocker switch (Low, Off, High)The fan is the same speed on low or high.They take 16.7 amps on high.The instructions are generic, meant to cover every type of heater that TPI makes.

used to have full warranty-then they took it away

my fans (2) run 24/7 they have been running for about 18-20 years. Every 3-4 years one of the motors is shot and since I am not able to fix them myself I end up buying a new fan.I raise American Singer Canaries and the sheath of the feather creates dust and apparently it is too much for the fan (even thought they get air blasted out) and they need to be replaced. originally the fans were under full warranty, that is why I bought them, however now you have to buy your own replacement, this is not the deal I had when I originally bought them. I don't appreciated when people change the rules after the fact.runs nice and quiet

Prices vary a lot.PROs: * Quiet (2 Sones is quite good) * Good flow. Moves steam and odor out fast.OKs: - Tasteful, not ugly - For bathrooms up to 175 Sq. Ft. according to NuToneCONs: - Expensive - Installation is a little more hassle (see Note 1)- - - More Info - - -Specs and Install Guide easily found at the NuTone siteSpec Sheet says "Do not mount over bathtub or shower stall" but ours is right in the shower stall ceiling. The insides are somewhat rusted, but no problems yet.- - - Alternatives - - -These two highly rated fans are about $25 cheaper and even quieter than the QT200, but they move about half the air. - Panasonic FV-11VQ5 WhisperCeiling 110 CFM Ceiling Mounted Fan - Broan Model QTXE110 110 CFM Ultra Silent Bath Fan- - - Notes - - -Note 1: The 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular discharge will require an adapter if venting to a round roof vent. The only place this heater gets hot is in the front. Sides, bottom and top are cool to touch! Can heat a bedroom or make a bathroom into a suana.
