Electric Fireplace

This unit is truly prettier than I thought it would be. It matches my other oak furniture perfectly and the fireplace unit makes for cozy ambiance. It was very easy to put together and I got it together in a couple of hours. I did have help screwing in the small screws in the back since I was getting tired at that point in the evening but it was really very simple. I'd highly recommend this unit.

Mantle and electric fire place is the easiest i have ever assembled. dowel rods and a few lil screw bolts. looks decent, has a darker stain than i wanted, is not real wood. it is particle board with oak face. a little expensive but is not an eye sore.

I took a chance that this would fit my 30 year old heater. Work's fine, fast shipping. I was a little dissapointed that it did not come with an installation wrench, more of a problem with getting the old one out than inserting the new. A little WD40 was a big help.

Mr. Heater Portable Buddy

My wife and I have used this heater over a two year period in our Vanagon Westfalia.The heater is troublesome in that it goes out frequently, sometimes because of the slightest movement of air. At other times it seems to go out because the propane cannister is nearly, but not entirely, depleted. At still other times the heater goes out for no discoverable reason.These symptoms occur whether we use the heater with disposable cannisters or with a 1 gallon refillable tank. (We use a filter with the refillable tank, but that has not helped.)We avoid the use of disposable cannisters because they are much more expensive to use than a refillable tank ($4 for 1 pound vs. about $3.50 for about 5 pounds) and because we don't consider the disposable cannisters to be environmentally friendly. Disposable cannisters are also difficult to dispose of properly.Perhaps our heater is defective?All this said, we consider the heater safe to use and, importantly to us, it is very quiet. It produces enough heat for us with the pop top raised when the ambient outdoor temperature is 32 degrees.

I've had one for 3 years and use it to heat the car compartment of our race car trailer. It works wonderfuly, never goes out unexpectidly and works as well with the disposable tanks as it does with large ones. I do have the hose for the large LP tanks. If you need portable heat in a compact package, get one.

I love this space heater, because of the great design and great performance. You can put it against the wall without worries about it getting too hot. It will heat an average size room 12X12 quite quickly. it's quite energy efficient as well.

It does the job, but when I use it on high setting longer than 30 mins or so, the cable starts to get warm on several spots. The cable looks cheap and nondurable, I wonder if it would melt or cause fire hazard if I leave it on longer. Lasko's several previous models were recalled for a similar reason, that's why I am worried. I am thinking about returning the unit.

I tried a oil filled heater and returned it becouse of a sickning smell coming from it, then i tried a fan heater and it did not do the job for my large livingroom/diningroom/kitchen (all open)I went and got this heater and wow is all i can say, it took trial and error with other brand heaters but this one is great, i highly recommend this heater, it is safe and really throws out some heat! I live in philly and it gets cold in my old house, but this is keeping my living area toasty!Lisa
