Fireplace Heater

I am very pleased with my new electric fireplace. It was easy to mount on the living room wall, and heats the both the living room and dining room on just the low setting (approx. 450 square feet). It makes a bit more noise than I expected, but no more so than any other room type heater. All of my guests have commented favorably regarding the look, and I love the cozy feeling it lends to the room. I did at first have an issue with the remote, but the seller worked quickly to resolve the problem.

This product looks great! Very modern looking and can be placed almost anywhere. It's pretty heavy, the only thing I'm not really impressed with is the amount of heat it pumps out. I have a condo, that has wall heaters, and it's the first place I've lived without a fireplace so this was a must. HOwever, my heating bills are very high, and so I try to keep it off after the first two months. The flames look pretty nice, and the rocks inside are a nice touch.

Quickly warms my 225 square feet in no time on the lowest setting. I have every confidence that this heater would perform well in a larger area on any of the higher settings.If you're familiar with convection heating, this is a very good value for the money that will be providing my heat for years to come.For the misinformed, this is not a ceramic style heat (Not immediate). Rather this will warm the space over time with a much more natural warmth that will fill the entire space and not dry out the air. Great for people with sensitive allergies or skin where forced air heating (Ceramic/Electric Heating) dry the air considerably and circulate dust.

Nice propane manifold

Although it does not make it clear, thisis a kit for manifolding two propane tanks together. If you use a high flow of propane for cooking or other, more industrial uses, the tank can "freeze up". When that happens, the tank gets so cold it cannot boil the propane anymore and thus the pressure drops to zero. Tying two tanks(or more) together helps give a larger volume of propane to keep pressure more constant at higher flows. For instance, I use mine with two 40 pound tanks to run a propane forge for blacksmithing. This product is well made, with o rings on all connectors. A word of caution, however, this defeats the automatic valve in a modern OPD cylinder, so be VERY careful to turn off BOTH cylinders before changing the accessory or disconnecting hoses.

flames quit working right away

I guess you get what you pay for...but I just wanted the ambience of a "flame" in my living room. The heat is a bonus. I was replacing a previous electric fireplace. The flame "effect" has already stopped working, and I've only had it for about a month or so. If I "bang" on the back of it, the flame tries to work, but makes a grinding noise and quits again. My advice is to spend more money and get something a bit better than this.

Good buy for the money

I purchased this item on Sunday afternoon and it arrived via UPS ground this morning (Wed). I noticed instantly that the unit does not resemble the online or box photo. The handle is very shiny brass and the front door is shiny plastic (like a child's cheap toy#. The rest of the unit is made of thin, shiny metal #again, like a child's toy#. The legs are platic. It took about ten minutes to remove from the box and screw in the legs. It turned on instantly and has been running since #for about two hours). It makes more noise than I had anticipated but it's not overpowering. I am rating this four stars because I have no previous experience with electric fireplaces and I am not sure how what I have described compares with other units. If you are looking for an affordable, small, ambient, supplemental heat source that looks nice from across the room then buy this unit. If you are looking for something substantial or authentic, you will be disappointed.

Works nice.......occasionally

This small stove looks nice, but is very cheaply built. When you open the front door, the plastic bends almost to the point of breaking just to overcome the magnet that holds it shut. The fan is very noisy sometimes, other times it's quiet. The bearings act like they were going out from day one. The flames work.....sometimes. If they don't move, bang the sides and they usually take off. I should have sent this back, but it really wasn't worth the effort after assembling it.

The 2012 model features a digital thermostat with remote control, which allows you to adjust your room temperature between 50 degrees and 90 degrees F. The powerful, yet quiet fan offers you a high and low speed setting; allowing you to customize your heater to the size of your room, and time of the year. Your Sun Essence heater comes with casters for ease of movement, and features a beautiful furniture grade wood cabinet. The Sun Essence heat source comes from six high intensity infrared tubes and three channeled copper heat exchangers. It cannot start a fire and will not burn; safe around children and pets. Sun Essence heaters are UL rated for safety and dependability. There are no harmful emission and our heater plugs into a standard 110v outlet. Great Mobile Heat

We looked at several infrared heaters before deciding to go with the Bear. Every heater had desirable features and a variety of price points, but the Bear had mobility with attractiveness, and safe, powerful heat output.Our home has that one area of the house that just doesn't ever feel warm enough. It's where we do a lot of work (everything from running a small business to getting school homework done). In addition, there are those times (when everyone but me is out at school or work) where we don't need the entire house heated. We have saved a lot of money moving this heater to anywhere in the house the only person at home is working.Because this heater is adjustable to heat up to 1,000 square feet, or a much smaller space if desired, and can be operated by a very handy remote to adjust to the needs of the space, it was perfect. The fact that it is made with a furniture grade cabinet on casters, and it isn't capable of starting a fire or burning, I have not been afraid to run it around our children or pets.The description says it has a quiet fan. It was very nice to find that the fan is really quiet. You don't hear it, it blends in with the furniture, and the only reason anyone knows it's there is because you are not uncomfortably cold anymore.

It is adequate for a good size room

Product performs well although not quite to the level promoted. It is adequate for a good size room and maintains a pleasant temperature within that room. I haven't received an electric bill so I am not sure what it's costing to run at this time. Satisfied considering the price that it was offered for on here.

Best investment,

We have 20 to 30 below weather and our living room is always cold. We burn wood and the heat just does not go in that room. This heater has been great for heating a larger living area with high ceilings. Very even heat. I did a lot of research into the product and others. By far this is the best choice. The cabnit is real wood. And does not get hot to the touch.
