Dayton 3UG73 Heater

I purchased this 220 volt heater 5 years ago (Jan. 2008). It works great. I have used it a lot without any problems. I use it (wall mounted) to heat a 750 sq. ft. insulated shop area with a 12' ceiling. In my cold soaked shop at 41°F, it will raise the room temp.10°-12° in the first hour. It is relatively quiet, not annoying. A temperature controlled switch turns the fan motor off below approx.50°F. So, at ambient temperatures below 50°, the fan will cycle on and off until the room temp reaches about 48-50°F. When the heat reaches the desired temp, the fan and heater shut off. When the heater is turned off, the fan runs for a minute or two until it cools down. All in all, it is a great heater for this type of application.Less desirable characteristics: 1. The temperature control knob is a series of dots in between "low "& "hi". You don't any idea of what temperature you're actually dialing in until you've had quite a bit of experience operating it. 2. The installation instructions are vague. I had to search around on the internet to find instructions on how to wire it.
