This ultra-power utility convection heater is fan forced, 240V/4000W and 13,650 BTU/hr. It has a thermostat with automatic On/Off setting with an operation indicator light. Safety wires with an operation indicator light. Safety wise it features an overload thermal protector (circuit break) with caution (overheat) indicator light. The power cord is heavy-duty SJT 3-wire, 3-prong jacketed and grounded. The elements are Nichrome wire nonglow. Cabinet is baked enamel steel (dark gray veltex) and black with chrome with a convenient cord wrap handle. Meets O.S.H.A. standards. Actual size 17" H. x 14" W. x 13" D. Made in U.S.A.

Fahrenheat Portable Heater - 4000 Watt, Model# PT268

A previous review rated this heater at 4-stars because it wouldn't do something the user "thought" it should do. That's not the heaters fault...that's the buyer's fault. Read the description. I own a number of these heaters that are used for my small hobby greenhouse. They are excellent. The only drawback I found was the on-off temperature differential (3° to 5°) on the thermostat and that's not a big deal. I'm using one in my den (550 sq. ft.) and it does an excellent job. I added my own thermostat with a 1° differential and mounted it to the wall directly behind the heater and out of sight. If you have a 220VAC, 20AMP plug near the heater, you are ready to go. Buy one...you'll like it...great little heater with fan forced air.

I just bought one of these to replace an identical one I'd purchased 20-25 years ago. The motor finally wore out after nearly daily use (during the cold season, which can be fairly long and occasionally severe in Oregon). It just quietly sits there, the thermostat maintaining whatever temp you like, year after year. It can really throw out the heat, too. I hardly ever have to turn the thermostat up over 1/4 of the way.I'm going to find a replacement motor for my old one and keep it as a spare or put it in a different room. Probably be good for another 20 years.It's just so nice to find something of quality that just works nowadays. I highly recommend this heater.

We have done over our basement several years ago into a lage family room. We have a wood burning stove there and have tried several small electric heaters when not wanting to build a fire. We purchased this heater with a 220 supply line. It works very well. It heats up the room quickly and then when you turn the thermostat down it only comes on as needed. It sits on carpet that does NOT heat up. I saw one that a friend had and he was very impressed so we are trying it. Have not yet received my electic bill since it has been installed only for about a week. Rochester New York
