This patio heater incorporates a specially designed electric quartz heating element that produces safe infrared radiant energy. Radiant energy is only absorbed by solid objects and it not wasted heating the air. Adjustable swivel mounts allow for ceiling or wall installation. Cozy infrared heat

This top-of-the-line residential heater turned my backyard into a cozy oasis! When mounted 8 ft above the ground as required by code, it covers an area of about 10 ft x 10 ft. It mainly warms the skin when it is directly exposed. Do not expect it to warm the air as much as a gas-powered heater does. The infrared heat emitted by this heater mainly warms surfaces rather than the air - without the smell of gas and without the hassle of failing igniters. The heat comes on at the flick of a switch. Be aware that at 6,000 Watts it is quite power-hungry, but if you have solar panels on the roof it may still be economical. The convenience of instant heat is priceless!
